Magnetic Poetry

These is the poetry that our group have done in the class... Adam,Isabel,Liqi and including me.. We've done by choosing one letter each person.. It was quite adventurism and challenging.. 

For these poetry, I've done alone without group members.. it was quite difficult because for these part was thinking by my self.. it was more difficult thinking alone then sharing ideas with group members.. but I've tried by best.

Forced Connection

In these lesson our task was to create an object with different kinds of adjectives by using random object... There were about 5 lists or more objects.. I chose a candle to be my object to create "Forced Connection" with an adjective.. Adjective that given were Passionate, Sad, Brave, Creative, Greedy and Hardworking.. We were judging each others' works after we finished... the drawing which got the most point from my drawing was Passionate candle.. well I don't know why did they pick that.. but let me guess, maybe because it was quite interesting or could be attractive...
These lesson was quite interesting as well as it was quite fun.. in my place, it benefits a lot for increase our creative thinking knowledge..

Analogical thinking

Similes...

Similes is which two unlikely things combining together and form a shapes call similes. I've found some researches about similes, well I've took several pictures of similes at home. They are about 8 pictures of examples of similes. I'll explain one by one for each pictures what are they look a like most.

Creative Thinking

In these section of lesson, we had some pair of questions from slide video.. it consisted few questions about creative thinking/could be a brainstorming questions.. These task was finished by me and Isabel. By the way, the question were seem quite normal, but it seems more consist of tricky question.. well the question was suppose to be testing our creative thinking knowledge and speed of our knowledge of thinking.. the first,second and third question were similar... but for the forth and fifth question were about drawing question... which tests our level of IQ.. (I guess)... well, it was interesting and I and Isabel answered all the question... for the forth and fifth got right but for the first, second and third was.. kind'a difficult and there were creative question.. which means the answer could be anything depends on person's idea.. if there are make sense..

2 Existing products that people are using this days!

2 Existing products that people are using this days!

1.People in long ago they use there books for several methods, such as reading and writing. But this day, there are less people who use there book for reading and writing. Because now days, the technologies have been improve much than before. So objects that are similar with books will be computers.

So I will just explain it with Laptops, as the most of people knows what's Laptops are. So, Laptops are really look alike with books and uses are also similar. They are able to type in it, reading and etc. Well some properties are changed as the technologies improve from the past.

2.Second existing product is small wood sticks. Woods are used in many kinds of existing products, such as doors, books, pencils, table and etc. But like sticks, they are few of them, they are just 

staffs and could be other standers as staffs. 

So most commonly that are used in most of countries and has the most similarities visual will be Chopsticks. As all people knows what Chopsticks are used in. They are used for picking up the foods or could be things. Well Chopsticks are made for picking up the foods but some of people could be use for picking up small objects for landing to small area, which is to be carefully landed.

The Rule Breakers pt.2

The Rule Breakers

I chose 3 artists who broke the rules in there works. Before that I'm in Diploma of Fine arts so I'm going to choose other artist which is not included fine arts artists, so I'm going choose architecture, singer and fashion designer.

First artist will be the architecture. These people are the one who designed the Leaning Tower of Pisa. As everyone know that these building is abnormally stand from it's standing position. It is built with abnormal degrees of direction. What I mean is it is not built in proper way as other buildings. Here is the picture of Leaning Tower of Pisa:

Second artist will be singer, these two people are really famous in Hollywood. I'm not sure for other countries but they're really well-known as a cyborg singer. There are Daft Punk. Daft Punk is a French electronic music duo consisting of musicians Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter. I chose them because of there fashion. They're are being called duo cyborg musicians because of there fashion. Here are the pictures:

As you can see they're wearing the robotic mask in every concerts where they are attended. They never open there masks in front of people even outside. The good thing for them is no one knows if they go out without mask because they never shows up to people, there original faces.

And lastly will be the fashion designer named Ellen Louise Demorest. She's not just a normal fashion designer. She's different with other fashion designer. She created first creative and brilliant idea of fashion design whichever as designing fashions by papers only without any materials needed. So these are my 3 rule breakers. Even they breaks the rule of arts still they're are talented.

Mind Mapping

In these lesson, we did mind mapping about Black.. we were suppose to make lists of Black.. for example: Fashion, Music, Magic, Emotion and etc.. Our group were consist of Adam and Liqi. We did the mind mapping by separating, not separating paper.. separating topics.. like, I did the fashion, Liqi did Magic and Adam did Music and Emotion. 

A mind map is a diagram used to visually organize information. A mind map is often created around a single concept, drawn as an image in the center of a blank landscape page, to which associated representations of ideas such as images, words and parts of words are added. Major ideas are connected directly to the central concept, and other ideas branch out from those.

Mind maps can be drawn by hand, either as "rough notes" during a lecture, meeting or planning session, for example, or as higher quality pictures when more time is available.

The Rule Breaker In Art History

Francis Bacon, 1st Viscount St. Alban 22 January 1561 – 9 April 1626), was an English philosopher, statesman, scientist, jurist, orator, essayist, and author.

I chose this artist as person who broke the rules in Art because most of drawings he had drawn are not that clear to be recognize as a image of people. For example like in face, the arrange of ears, eyes, nose, mouth are not clearly arrange in normal position. This are some example images of his drawings:

As you see most of his drawings are rule break drawings. These are drawings of face rule breaking drawings. There are so many types of rule breaking drawings in Francis Bacon's works. These was first example of rule breaking, secondly for the body structures. Here are some drawings of it:
As you see in this drawings there are few parts are missing in body structure drawing. For the first image, there are no hands at all and even the faces are not that clear. In second image, abstractly we can see few parts of body but not that clear, for example like for the feet, it might looks like feet and legs are joint together, and also necks,hands and faces.

For this picture, has a exactly same effects of photo-shoot effects. This picture quite looks interesting and parts of faces are mostly arranged in exact places, only because of the image effects it might looks like not arranged at there own position.

He also drawn organs with these effects. Here are some examples:

These drawings are also quite interesting, he pointed out the arrangement of organs but with randomly arrangement. It might be looks disgusting but also quite interesting to see.

By the way, most of his drawings are breaking the rules of faces and body structures, but in my opinion it proves why he became well known artist. The wavy effects gives this works more visual and makes people to see these pictures more carefully with enjoy feelings.

Somerset Again

I went to Somerset for buying materials for 3D fundamental class. Actually I don't need to go to there but I just heard from my friend in few hours ago that today is a public holiday, so most of art stores were closed. Still now I haven't got any materials. I've search many places but all of'em were closed. I think I should be ready to get warning from 3D fundamental's lecturer.

Well so on, I went Somerset with my Korean friends again like before. We have nothing to do so we just ordered some coffees and teas for wasting time to past faster.

Is it because of holiday? So empty in here... Well empty,,,good for us, we can have a seat anywhere we want.

So many people outside, I guess they are still busy even it's a holiday. Someday I will become as them as well... But I think busy is good for us rather than do nothing. I prefer to be busy in working rather than spend our time in nothing.

Visual Arts & 2D Fundamentals

Done finishing my Visual Arts and 2D Fundamentals Homework. I think it took approximately 5 hours for finishing these two drawings.

After finishing drawing, my hands are covered with pencil lead dusts. I will say this is result of hardworking.

Went to Somerset for the first time

Day 2... posting my new picture for my "First time Blog". This was the first time going to Somerset City. I heard that Somerset has so many huge buildings and consists of many Korean people. Maybe Somerset attracts Korean more than other cities, I don't know why, but it's just because.

This has similarities as Ang Mo Kio HUB which I posted in the Introducing page. This is Somerset Mall. I'm not sure about it but I think this place's name was Orchard gateway. This has similarities with Ang Mo Kio HUB because it is also arranged with MRT station but without Bus Station. So on, it is just look alike as inside view of Ang Mo Kio HUB but only the arrangement of shops are different.

Look at that painting on the wall. Some artistic talented artist painted on the wall which attracts many people to take picture with it. Fantastic view!

Now I get it, why does Somerset attracts Korean people more than other cities. It is because of this! One of most well known "Fast Food" named Nene Chicken.

Look at that Visual. It addicts people to buy more and more....

Introducing my self

Hello, welcome to my blog.. My name is Joon Chan from Class VA1M. And I'm Korean. My Diploma Course is in Fine Art. Well... this is my first time making my own blog,so...it's kind'a nervous. I'm not sure about making blogs like this,, and please understand if there are mistakes in typing and arranging pictures and etc. By the way I'll be really thankful if you guys visit my Blog and interest in it.

Well I'm confuse how should I start my Blog. Okay! Firstly, I'll show you guys where I'm living. I'm living in Ang Mo Kio city which is really far away from NAFA. It takes about an hour or more to get here from our School. This is the picture of place where I'm living. It's a Condominium, named Horizon Garden.

This is Ang Mo Kio HUB. Which, I don't know what it is exactly. I'm still not sure what it is, is it Mall or just a huge MRT station(?). This place is arranged with MRT Station and Bus Station. By the way I go here twice in a week or more, depends on holidays. I usually go here with my roommate for buying things such as clothes, accessories and etc.
